Previous British Broadcasting Corporation Specialists Undergo MPs' Inquiry After Allegations of Partiality in Disclosed Memo
We begin with inquiries from Conservative MP the panel's head, that leads the committee.
She commences by providing background to the disclosed document prepared by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.
"I don't want the BBC slanting toward one side or the other, My only wish is for it balanced, fair and just," he says.
In response to a query whether he thinks the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, he answers: "Absolutely not. Let's be clear, tons of stuff the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is exceptional - both informative and fictional content."
However, he continues: "There remains significant effort that must be undertaken at the BBC."
Another ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation consultant interviewed by the committee, Caroline Daniel, remarks she regards the BBC with great importance and that it operates a "continuous process and lively discussion" regarding evolving and intricate subjects.
"Whether the BBC was ready to have a genuine discussion and argument and take action?" she questions. "From my perspective, affirmative, they were."
